Just because it is not 100% accurate doesn't mean it is security theory. Security is about taking many measures to help mitigate threat. There is never a pragmatic, completely effective safe guard. That being said, keep everything up

They say they contacted MS to verify his identity but didn't include their reply. From reading this article without the context of the reddit thread I would venture to guess if he really was then it is past tense now.

I wouldn't be so quick to say that. VS is very C++ centric. Last I heard offical support for C features past C89 gets pretty spotty with MS.

You are thinking of Android as just an OS for consumer mobile phones. You don't always need Facebook to run on it for it to be useful. It is a great polished Linux distro that can find a lot of uses. Think of it as a specialized L

The "android isn't very open source" sentiment really bothers me and I see it a lot here. It is a complete and fully functional mobile OS under extremely permissive licensing. Pull it! Change it! Build it! Fork it! Whatev

For me, when it comes to really drastic solutions like running bare metal or building a custom OS then if you have to ask if you should then you shouldn't. But to echo the others, it depends on what you are doing. I hope I don't
