That's OK, I figured he or she may not want to publicly reveal details, that is understandable in this case imho. As I said I was just curious if it was maybe a simple solution that could be implemented elsewhere.

May I ask how you're detecting it? If you can't say [or don't want to] for whatever reason that's fine, I'm merely curious is all.

I don't disagree, but China was just an example of a country that could feasibly tell them to get bent. What would they do about it? Trade sanctions? Most of the shit in Europe is made in China, too.

I have not much more than a cursory understanding of this new law, but holy shit do I hope somebody breaks the web. Fast. This is out of control with the tracking and the monitoring and every other website seems to pull in 14 or so differen

I remember reading about a story[1] last summer of a user on reddit buying a box full of "Blizzard stuff" on eBay and in it he found a gold cd-rom that was the master source code disk for Starcraft -- this wasn't even a hand-

Interesting. I was under the impression that 'bogan' was sort of the Aussie equivalent to the classic American "hillbilly" -- and there's a slight (and depending on how it's used, sometimes not-so-slight) negat

This just saved my ass. I only play Diablo 3 occasionally, but Blizzard doesn't offer their client on Windows Phone, which would have been great to know prior to switching over from Android. Fortunately I didn't have the same issu

All I'm saying is, academia and government are 2 different ballgames -- I'm sure there are lots of similarities, but the stakes are on 2 vastly different levels. I'm not saying having scientists in the government would be bad

No doubt we need to get rid of the climate change/global warming/call-it-what-u-want deniers, and the outright false information being disseminated without batting an eyelash is pure insanity, but I still have to wonder if folks w

Totally agree. One of the main advancements in the last several years IMO has been bringing the cost of this type of thing (ie; dev boards for microcontrollers, RPi, Arduino, etc) way, way down. I remember back in the day to get the equipme

I'd also say Path of Exile does the [PC] free-to-play thing right. They offer an extremely good product up front for free, they don't have any of the time counters or other F2P bullshit from mobile, and they don't put up arbi

Ah ha, Ok, so the ones who are most vocal and/or visible are, more often than not, not accurately representative of the <subject> as a whole. I think the Olde-English-y sound of the original quote threw me for a loop. In any case

Let me tell you this from direct personal experience: Opiate addicts are not "free" to do much of anything -- very very least of all are they free to, on a whim, switch and/or stop the drug. Yes that sounds over-exaggerated,
