All I'm saying is, academia and government are 2 different ballgames -- I'm sure there are lots of similarities, but the stakes are on 2 vastly different levels

All I'm saying is, academia and government are 2 different ballgames -- I'm sure there are lots of similarities, but the stakes are on 2 vastly different levels. I'm not saying having scientists in the government would be bad, to the contrary -- right now that's what we need. But replace all the lawyers and businessmen in government right now with professors and administrators from academia and we would still have lots of issues.
