Buying and using a scalped ticket isn't a crime for the concert-goer, using a fake ID (in most states) is meaning it puts significantly more pressure the consumer to not buy. Also, most people in the US over the age of 21 don't ha

You only need to make your own packages if you're not already building containers, flatpaks, or RPM's, though RPMs are discouraged.

IIRC Serf is mostly a library; I think the product around it is more for demonstration than actual expected use. Consul uses libserf for it's gossip protocol.

Netavark stack should be a welcome change; finally no more fiddling around with cni-dnsame and shared networks to get inter-container DNS working. I think technically .pod quadlet files came out in 4.9 but I'm still excited for them. Q

You can do it but it's not a very happy path. Easiest way is probably to map the old home subvolume into a different path and either re-label the subvolumes once you're installed or just copy everything over. Separate BTRFS root a

Would have been nice to mention Valve's Overwatch system used in CSGO (not sure about CS2) and DOTA2 [0][1]. I'm not sure how effective it is in CS but it's seemed to be a remarkable improvement in DOTA2, at least for toxicit

RHEL6 did use upstart, but when RH tried to submit patches/work with upstream like they do with most projects they ran into issues with Canonical's CLA and other submission policies. So when Poettering came back with systemd they

Outside of what the article itself says, even while I was managing large multi-user Linux installs that wasn't really a concern we had. At this point the benefits and concerns are minimal.

If you already have LDAP or some other backing auth, setting up Dex for OIDC is pretty easy. Took me less than an hour or so. If you want something fancier Authelia isn't too bad, I got that running in an evening and hooking it up to T

FYI I'd skip the Tao of Pooh if you're trying to learn more about Taoism; it's more of a pop-culture, western philosophy inspired by eastern take then actual Daoism. Otherwise, my recs are: First find good translations of the

Fun fact, OpenSUSE actually already does that for some common server software (LDAP, dovecot, etc); they're quadlet/systemd unit files packaged up as RPMs though, I don't think they actually include the container image.

Janissaries were part of the Ottoman Empire starting in 1300s, while this article is about Muslim Spain, which lasted until 1400s at the latest. So, ignoring the rest of the bait in your content, no they did not have Janissaries.
