How do you like the conductive headphones for that purpose? I have been considering doing the same for when I go on walks at night.

Serious question, how do you injure yourself in an Amazon warehouse? I thought there wasn't any heavy machinery or other dangerous machines. Is it just from too much walking?

In think there's a subtle difference. A side effect of Bitcoin's rules is that people with more hashing power have a disproportionate amount of weight in deciding the future of the protocol. Eth solves this by putting a hard deadl

I agree. I claim that both sets are biased, whch is why we can't use the steam charts or Firefox usage data to draw any conclusions about the broader population

by strombofulous 5y ago
Only 1.97% of steam users use windows 7, so I don't think we can assume either demographic is a fair representation of all users https://store.steampowered.com/hwsurvey/Steam-Hardware-Softw...

bitcoin works by distributing the entire history of all bitcoin transactions among a distributed pool of nodes. Anyone can look at any transaction at any time with only a small amount of effort. there are services that will "mix"

You only have to collect state sales tax if you have a taxable nexus in that state (basically, six figure revenue from that state alone in a fiscal year or a physical presence in that state) I doubt many non-US companies meet this condition

How are miners incentivized to maintain the network?

by strombofulous 6y ago
Same, although I'm starting to suspect that companies have started to catch on to this trick over the last few months, sadly

40%?! Where do you live? The effective federal income tax at 100k is 22.75%. I don't think any state has a 17.25% effective income tax, certainly not if you only earn 100k.

Isn't this essentially what happened with AWS?

Instead of letting you shift the goalposts, I'll explain why I think it was uncharitable. Imo, it is very clear that the OP was not trying to imply that the students/professors were the ones personally or even indirectly involved

This is such a ridiculously uncharitable interpretation of what the person you're replying to said. It makes me feel like I'm on twitter

WSL2 uses hyper-v. You can only run either hyper-v or ESXi (VB's hypervisor) at the same time.

How do you deal with chargebacks/requests from customers who claim that what they paid for wasn't what they got? Will you attempt to mediate this? Do sellers receive a refund of the fee for things that are charged back on? I'
