The majority of airlines operating in Europe and the majority of flights taken are on low cost carriers where this is the norm. It’s not just RyanAir there’s dozens of them.

Do we expect the social media ban implementation to be any different to the 18+ restriction on pornography? Personally I doubt it. Real enforcement will come from parents and schools now having authority to stop kids instead of currently be

It’s trivially easy to obtain the discount. Anyone working in education, or a student at any level, k-12, higher ed, graduates with access to uni email can get it. Apple doesn’t ask any questions or for verification. They also go on sale at

Seems shocking that for $46.3 million they cannot find a way to enable this. My heart goes out to any Fisker owners who purchased one of these soon to be bricks at full sticker.

It's an American oddity where (crooked) local police departments fund themselves off fine revenue. Most countries centralise fine revenue with the state or federal government to remove such incentives. They also don't have the gov

For the physical infrastructure that the AGI (and world population) uses. Capital will still be needed to purchase finite land and resources even if all labour (physical and services) is replaced.

As a nuclear armed power that has shown far more propensity for military intervention outside their borders (see Africa) than all other nato members I wouldn’t bet against the French here.

Is it really within Apple’s purview to police the styling of an app distributed on an alternative digital marketplace? Surely protecting developers from these kind of arbitrary restrictions by Apple reviewers is the one of the reasons the E

I'm not supportive of Apple at all in this but to say that Android works "fine" without notarisation is a stretch[1]. Apple already has already implemented a perfectly functional balance between security and developers rights

It’s a risk. But it also takes a few hours to restore from backup and there’s a bunch of things that (sensibly) don’t restore and require manual setup. I know Apple will never ask for your passcode but in the case of a repair shop that prom

Speed for iPhone 15 Pro is USB 3 20x faster than the regular iPhone 15. This implies 10Gbps (USB 3.1 gen 2x1 or 3.2 gen 1x2) on the pro and 480Mbps (USB 2.0) on the standard phone.

Just had to wait for the Pro announcement. Pro model gets USB 3 support. "20x faster" so that would make it 10Gbps.
