F*ck faster acceleration though. The 0 to 100 kph in 2 seconds trend is absurd and dangerous. We should lock all that behind a regulatory wall.

I don't think we need a strict definition. If people really got the message "processed food is bad" and made reasonable choices from that information and their intuition (or a google image search) they would stop eating the w

One way to approach answering this question is looking at history. Do individual people with a nice stockpile and contemporary weapons tend to survive the collapse of their civilizations (or even local, short-term famines for that matter)?

I'm saying people repeating talking points from industry without realizing it, or having really considered them in any serious way. This extends to offline conversations with family / friends so it's not about shills.

You're not responding to the parent's point. They're not saying that it causes or doesn't cause cancer. They're saying Monsanto and other multi billion dollar industrial players have permanent PR campaigns running t

The smallpox blanket givers are maligned now but they and their people (~europeans) did grab and are still holding 97% of the territory they set out to conquer. History is written by the victors, and it's questionable whether this outc

Just like with chemical weapons, banning them makes total sense to avoid overwhelming mass production and ubiquitous use. You'll still see them used in targeted assassinations and some countries will have illegal military stockpiles, b

But it doesn't require major investments. It's really minor investments compared to other infrastructure projects. The issue is taking away even a tiny fraction of car space basically triggers some kind of political road rage.
