These items are rather common sense guidelines almost everybody would agree with. As I'm not in crime fiction and since English isn't my mother tongue, I have to confess that I don't know EL. I'd suggest to another rule

1.) Violent crime is a rare event (in post-WW2 European societies), so the proportion of offenders is rather small. 2.) One time offenders have a hard time getting their feet on the ground after being released from prison. Without appropria

The biggest problem I have with thunderbird is that it fails to render some html mails properly. Above all, they should fix this problem first. Instead of creating a mobile app or whatever, they should get their existing client right. As of

The original URL should be included somewhere. That said, I don't quite understand the advantage of this solution versus a plain article view (e.g. firefox's built-in article view or something similar provided by some plugin/

You should also add: speed of maintenance, fixing bugs, refactoring. But these aspects are not part of the Ruby propaganda of course (which I myself believed in for too long).

I read many books on philosophy, sociology, and tons of literature when I was young. I wish I would have read Algebra 1-3, Analysis 1-2, Mathematical Statistics etc.

The situation is different since the body is still intact. You and those people are not talking about copying the whole body though but about copying just the brain -- or rather some information that was extracted from the lump of cells tha

You're iterating the IT inspired delusion of the brain being the cpu + memory and the body being the peripheral hardware. So why not just replace the signals from the peripheral hardware with some mock data as we do in unit tests, you

Now imagine the only option to write JavaScript in a sensible way (however this should be possible :-) would be VSC. Do you really think JS would have had any success? I think it would have been another Visual Basic. Even typescript (a MS p

I like Kotlin but I really wish they would draw a clearer line between kotlin the language (incl. compilers + generic tools) and the kotlin-plugin for IntelliJ IDEA. It seems they see the work on IDEA support for kotlin as an essential qual

The author introduces his example with "Let’s take a look at a very short Kotlin + RxJava sample." But IMHO his sample describes a Java-only problem (and solution). He could have written a quite similar article without any mention
