I have always used class-validator for this. The custom validation stuff always comes up in backend dev eventually so starting with it has always been the right call for me. This includes small toy projects and entire SaaS backends.

Too right. Glasgow is cracking down on new AirBnBs but not hard enough in my opinion. A city is for the people that live and work there, primarily. Tourism should be supported, but in almost no case should it take priority over making the c

St Andrews, where I went to university, suffers from the same issue. When rich tourists can spend hundreds of pounds a night to stay in AirBnBs at the "home of golf", the broke students get forced into paying £2000pcm for a dilapi

This is just for YouTube shorts, but I notice a huge swathe of right wing content being blasted at me whenever I foolishly stray onto that part of the app. I'll get anything from Tate to Rogan to obscure 'Woke-critical' conte

Well, they have all of the outputs of ChatGPT stored on their own servers. I suppose it wouldn't be out of the question to filter any future datasets they scrape against the outputs they have.

Well it's similar to how a local email server differs from using Gmail. You run the local server and deploy it on any hardware / cloud stack you like!

I get very happy seeing people run Docker Swarm in production. we need a community!

by stewartmcgown 5y ago
Using Docker Swarm as an alternative to K8s in prod has been incredibly helpful for us as a growing startup. You get 90% of the advertised K8s goodies for almost zero extra complexity. Using deployment scripts + docker alone would be insane
