Pretty ridiculous, I'm sure she'll land on her feet but these startup cultures are a disaster. Hula hoops? No clear management of any kind? I'm all for freedom of expression and all that but try and act like an adult for once

It works -- Also, make sure if you have an iPad or you're using your Apple ID with Messages on Mac OS X that you sign out of everything beforehand. Last resort is changing your password but it works.

Also make sure to tell them "Send as SMS" is enabled on their iMessage settings. This will automatically try to re-send it as a text without manual intervention.

Changing your Apple Id Password works like a charm too. It will log you out of your iMessage services. I did this when I switched to Galaxy Note 3.

Because it's too easy! Nerds would rather spend countless hours at the command line figuring things out than having a nice interface to get stuff configured and running. As a developer, I don't want to spend my life also configuring servers

Indeed this as an interesting topic; however, I think that many missed the point of the essay altogether. He wasn't saying that Java is a horrible language just that it's not viewed favorably by "hackers". I think that he is probably right
