And where the document talks about SSI, it essentially means SPI (just with differential signalling etc.)? In other words, is it this SSI?: < https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Synchronous_Serial_Interface >

The language isn't the problem, it's the structure (if you can call it that) of Nixpkgs that makes it so difficult. And no, flakes are not the answer, they may solve composability but they create other problems.

In a way, this is _better_ than the C++ standard library, 'cause it's not missing fundamental operations like string::trim() and string::split().

I’d like to see that “how Wayland ended up worse than X11” post, but I’m afraid I wouldn’t understand it any more than the other Arcan writings.

I've been using pipe() lately (along with poll()) to tell threads to quit, and other simple inter-thread signalling. Super easy, very little code needed. I guess socketpair() would work just as well.

The big thing about on-screen text is to _proofread it_. I'm surprised by how often there are typos in the overlaid text of videos that are otherwise quite professional. The quickest cuts I've seen are in the AudioPilz "Bad

This oddly fails to mention a certain very popular variable-length instruction encoding that LLVM already supports. The Gist linked at the bottom of the article does explain how that works, though.

Never mind. It's that hyphen in its name. Mona Sans is called "Mona Sans", but Hubot Sans is called "Hubot-Sans". And FontConfig requires that the hyphen be quoted, eg.: "Hubot\-Sans-16.5:weight=60".

Wait, is "match" gonna be a reserved word now? 'Cause I use it as a variable name all the time when dealing with regexes.
