I'd argue that creating infrastructure that allows people to move and take care of children isn't a loss, it's an investment in functional towns and cities, which leads to better outcomes in general (including economic).

Years ago I bought some really nice brushless motors and was surprised to see they were made in Poland. I had no idea they were manufacturers of things like that. Later I bought even nicer motors, meant to provide exceptional control and fe

Does it ever worry you that all 8TB could fail in one place? Do you have redundant drives (like two 4TB or four 2TB drives)? I'd be worried about having all of my storage in one place. I like to back up data to more than one place if i

Yes, that's exactly it. It really doesn't take much for a bit of forest to make the climate nicer, then. I find that very hopeful and encouraging.

Did you notice a difference in cooling or moisture retention? Large scale models show that these effects are significant, but I wonder if it would be evident at 10k square feet. I like to think so.

A lot of people consume nicotine. It has been isolated and used in products for a long time. There's no clear link to cancer, but it could impact cardiovascular health (like all stimulants seem to). Some research indicates that nicotin

I find the decline of these things upsetting too. I don't know if it slots into enshittification specifically, but there's a phenomenon of decline in general that's so antithetical to where my career began and what I thought
