Agreed, so what if his startup fails and he doesn't release a feature per day as he promised? That's what startups (usually) do. They fail. Shouldn't hold that against him personally. As far as the reddit guys go, there's a reason you're n

Ohh but how your perception will change when you see his site achieve a state of perfection :) Hah, anyway I myself do enjoy webpy and wouldn't mind giving something back to it, but if I were him I'd probably rather do a startup.

Ireland and London are good for gambling or related ventures. Not sure why you'd want to do it there otherwise.

Finding motivation from my peers and making lots of little mental deadlines have been two of my "secrets" to maintaining very high levels of output while feeling great for all these years. It's great advice.

This may be true. But would you mind making some guesses as to how well google's other aps are doing for income? I'd say that most are generating huge losses on paper.

For me the problem was never eye strain, but my contacts get very dry around 4 in the morning. Taking a break is a big distraction since that's when I'm really doing best, hardly time to blink. I think I'll get the corrective surgery.

The law is a transient thing. Simply asking the courts whether something is illegal can change its legality.

Of course the feature that publicity will pick up on is the recommendations. I though, am more concerned about how resistant this is to various attacks. Youtube and bittorrent already have popular, legal stuff covered pretty well. What does

Should I limit myself to that supposed "woman out there" who is willing let me work for many months at a time? I hear that worked out great for hans reiser.

You're about two years too late to do benchmarks on myspace as a startup. They've re-written the thing at least twice over and put a whole lot more money into fixing it up by now. Myspace's server software and html was bad. So so bad.

Seriously, the site had more downtime, more errors, and was slower than any site I have ever seen. I'm betting that you missed that though. The founders pored so much money into just barely keeping their non-scalable site running that they

There's another cost, some jobs you just won't be able to do when you have a wife, kids, and lots of loans to pay every month. At college age is part of the very short time in your life where you are free from all this and can easily focus

I think the YTMND guy put it best when he realized that all of the top content on his site is adaptations (to put it nicely) of content created elsewhere. None totally original. So that's about 99.99999% vs 0.000001%. So beware of creating

The point is that you must look at the actual numbers - cost of scaring some people away vs. how many new users this brings in, to actually "get it." I've seen this exact technique work extremely well many times before. Building a successfu
