Yes, in the same way that a Quest 3 can run BeatSaber and other similar calibre games. For more demanding games it's designed to stream from a PC.

I don’t know exactly how open the Android XR system on the Galaxy XR is, but it is likely better than the Vison Pro in that regard.

Just to clarify that's for the Steam Frame VR Headset. The Steam Machine PC uses an AMD Zen 4 x86 CPU.

Most gaming peripherals still seem to use USB-A on the computer end for cables and dongles. Current Xbox and PS5 controllers charge with a USB-C port on the controller end but a USB-A port where the plug into the console.

This isn’t likely to be a compelling spatial computer. The pass-through video is monochrome and the screens have about 40% of the pixels compared to the Vision Pro. The Samsung Galaxy XR is much closer to being a Vision Pro competitor. The

Knowing the sales tax at a particular in-person store is more feasible, and that’s the only case where you have to deal with cash. If I’m buying online with a digital transaction you can charge whatever cents are necessary.

Yes, the quarter is pretty much the smallest useful unit of US currency and even that usefulness is shrinking pretty quickly. If we would adopt a policy of including local sales tax in advertised prices, skipping to whole dollars would be p

They don't have 15 different Macbook chassis sizes. Most of those SKUs are swapping SoC and memory configurations on the same board and chassis design. By that logic the iPhone 17 (base model) is at least 24 SKUs. If for example the 15

The Mac Pro that famously gets very infrequent updates and is far behind the rest of the line on CPU generarion? I would not be at all surprised if Apple kills it off in the near future. The comparison to cars is the market. A company makes

And I know several people who bought and are passionate about small, lightweight 2-door cars with manual transmissions. Sometimes that isn’t enough to justify dedicating a mass production line to that product.

Which is perhaps why Apple tried the iPhone Mini, to go back and see if they were missing a large market segment. Their answer was that some people bought it, but not enough to justify the product at Apple's scale. There isn't a g

The choice has happened over many years. Incrementally consumers were offered the choice of the same size phone or larger, and they kept choosing larger. If the smaller iPhones and Android phones of 10+ years ago had continued to sell well

It's a high-end fashion partnership, like the Hermès watches. You could probably argue that high-end fashion is in a constant state of jumping the shark.

Yes, we should just make couplings so that a long string of cars can be attached together. The trailing cars could all follow the lead car. If you add some guide rails to the road you don't even need a fancy autonomous steering system.

Yep, it was a very similar situation where Apple wanted to keep their hardware cadence but were beholden to a third party on the chip roadmap. These days they're still somewhat beholden to TSMC continuing to make progress on nodes etc,

The number of Teslas sold up to 2014 is less than 1% of all Teslas sold. Tesla has an 8-year battery and drivetrain warranty but they don't necessarily fail after that date.
