Allowing sites to intercept browser actions that should make a user leave the site, and inject other operations is obviously and plainly a security issue. I reported this to google several years ago, and it was never addressed.

Last time I saw the Bank of America python codebase, it had ~6 million lines of code, was worked on by about 4,000 developers, and ran some core, performance critical functionality. Python programming is an aesthetic that needs learning. M

I think the difference is if you consider the /idea/ inherently dangerous, or the potential /outcome/ dangerous. Yes, it's subtle, but the current shift in the US is towards ideas being dangrous
