Except that the price of doge was driven up by individuals believing they weren't buying into an inflatable currency. The fact that this article got upvotes and the comments around indicate that people are gonna pull out.

You are unique in this. They would get almost no sales and destroyed in reviews if they charged the real price of the game ($20). Instead, they use IAP. Some users buy nothing, some buy the $69.99 game, and on average everyone pays $20.

So only open source work doesn't need to go through a lawyer? "You can claim a copyright, but only if you couldn't be successful enough to make money." Sounds like a big "fuck you" to me. Other corporations jus

It's his property. And the state is threatening to reject his development permits if he doesn't cave to their will. Fuck the city government. I hope he can keep his private land private.

I saw the censored fuck and immediately couldn't see anything else. Fucking have a goddamned fucking opinion, or don't. Who is the author trying to impress with censorship? Asterisks won't get you more retweets.

Immediately becoming physical is a valid showing of sexual interest. If she wasn't interested, she should have stopped it immediately. I've had it go both ways and end in sex, although never in a professional setting.

But aside from all the great free services google provides, and the money it has poured into its offices and the surrounding area, what has it done? What have the Romans ever done for us?! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ExWf

It is extremely difficult to legally buy and conceal a handgun that conforms to California law. You also can't pickpocket a gun to anyone carrying it appropriately. Try to take a gun from a cop and see what happens.

The code review pales in comparison to Crucible. Vertical diffs only, can't ignore whitespace without losing the ability to comment, and there's no fast navigation through files.

Yes, I do not wish to finance someone else's dream. I could have told this guy 20 years ago that his life plan was awful and going to lead to financial hardship.

Different markets. Demand for the jobs is high, and supply is low. This keeps pay low. Compare to tuition. Demand has been increasing over the last decade, and supply has remained relatively fixed or grown slowly. As more students seek to a

In app purchase. Build out some premium feature and charge for it. You have the install base. Unlike up-front sales, in-app purchases pay out as a function of your install base over time, instead of purely just the sales numbers. That said,

Why does an "X" cost "$Y+"? Because that's the price the market will bear for X. Cost has nothing to do with it. If I could sell you a kettle for $100,000 that cost me $100 to build, I would absolutely do it.

Painfully slow, and now throwing 404s. Devs get hard-ons for fat client front-ends when web servers since the early 90s have been able to trivially serve up this kind of content.
