There is an existing solution in the community called rffmpeg[1] but that did not work for me. It seems too heavy weight for what I was trying to do. It requires access to sudo, global configuration files (/etc/) and most importan

The latest release[1] on Github should have binaries combinations for almost everybody here. If you don't find a binary for your environment, you can probably just run the javascript files and it'll be fine. If you are wondering w

Maybe you have worked with a different XML than I but I have only terrible memories of working with XML. Starting from the parser inconsistencies (that even led to security vulnerabilities in Apple, see https://blog.siguza.net&#x

JSONC. https://onury.io/jsonc/ It can be hard to find an implementation of this if you're working in a not-so-popular language (looking at you Swift) but JSONC has had the best developer experience of anything I&#

FWIW, It's all about tradeoffs. I've got a bunch of mini-pcs running Ryzen APUs lying around, some of them have SO-DIMM DDR5 and others have LPDDR5. The former is user-changable and the latter isn't. The latter allows much hi

Yeah, no. Bad idea. I could very easily see an evolution speed run here where people do for…of on the weakmap, make closures that use those values and the closure references cause nothing in the WeakMap to do its job, which is get garbage c

I gave edge another shot last year, because it's just chrome right? Sure. That's what it started out as. Until MS middle-managers trying to get promotions added enough shit to onboarding that it repelled me back to Chrome

Going to echo some of the thoughts of sibling posters. I'd been an iTerm2 user since I first started using macOS nearly ten years ago. I had really started to feel it slow down lately. It hit the breaking point when I was cmd-tab-ing a

Ah this is quite interesting! I had a usecase where I needed a GPU-over-IP but only for transcoding videos. I had a not-so-powerful AMD GPU in my homelab server that somehow kept crashing the kernel any time I tried to encode videos with it

Talking uninformed but considering how there’s an A/B update pattern, maybe 15 minutes is the arbitrary threshold after which an update is considered stable enough?

The title on the website is “Google, Cloudflare & Cisco Will Poison DNS to Stop Piracy Block Circumvention”. Curious why Cloudflare has been singled out in the submission title?
