Agreed, both are pretty good. Especially the YouTube PWA runs just as good as the native app on my Android phone, up to the point where I often forget which one I'm currently using.

There's really no excuse. When I started web development I had at least 3 browsers open at any given time and writing code that worked in all major browsers could be really difficult at times. In more recent years, I would just develop

Could anyone who downvoted this explain their reasoning? Is this statement too radical, not radical enough, ...? I am genuinely curious.

Favicon is there, it just happens to be light grey. I guess someone only tested this one on a browser in dark mode.

I wouldn't be surprised if they supported both, but the pictures on their website all show Prepar3D.

I think it should be noted that Prepar3D exists for 12 years now [1] and has been heavily used by flight sim enthusiasts after FSX development was stopped and before MSFS came to the market. It is somewhat unclear were exactly this is used

Aviation has solved this problem a long time ago by controlling airspace and having laws that are actually enforced. Your plane may not prevent you from entering restricted airspace, but it may very well be the last thing you do as a pilot.

As a non-native speaker, I agree. Such tools are not new and extremely helpful when writing professional documents. I also think that we are nowhere close to actually censoring words in editors like Google Docs, MS Word, ... even though it

MS Word has had similar features for a few years now, so I think the world outside of HN already has some experience with it. In a professional setting, it's very useful. It's not just about ethnic slurs, which usually don't

Around 2.4% of all global green house gas emissions, but responsible for 5% of global warming [1]. I wouldn't call it minuscule. I think one of the reasons that aviation is so often in the spotlight in discussions about climate change

Very similar to the situation with the Gotthard Base Tunnel. Switzerland managed to build the longest railway tunnel in the world within 17 years, and we will barely manage to build a few kilometers of supporting infrastructure in the Rhine

That's ridiculous. Kids start asking questions about sex as soon as they or one of their friends mother gets pregnant and they deserve honest answers and they can handle it, probably better than many grown-ups. That doesn't mean t

By now I would assume many people have at least once tried to build an app for iOS in one way or another. And it's easy to see why people prefer VSC which has a pretty classic UI for an IDE / editor, whereas Xcode tries to do so m

I mean, at least on iOS Apple did something way more drastic. Anyway, I feel like the bigger problem is that Microsoft does not use https to open some simple websites. And people, including me, are upset about it. If they just used https in

I guess I'm somewhat OK with protecting microsoft-edge:// links, maybe an argument for security could be made for application-specific protocols. But they absolutely should not use https:// for links that just ope

At least with carriers we'd have more competition, now everything you mention is basically controlled by two companies. I'm not sure if that's any better.
