I've decided to stop making analogies on HN because, instead of focusing on the helpful part, people always take them way too far and then act as if they invalidated your original point. In case you aren't aware, the whole codebas

I've been using it pretty extensively over a month and I'm at maybe $7. It thinks for quite a while, but the results have been better than Sonnet for me.

Eh, everything is challenging to scale across large orgs. Even before LLMs, the code was a huge ball of spaghetti that barely held together. Now we just get there faster. About senior engineers, I guess that depends on the org you have expe

I never look at code. It used to be that it quickly became unmaintainable spaghetti where the agent struggled to make any change at all, but in the past year (and with a three step plan/develop/review workflow), the quality is so

The only people I see bristling are the ones who don't want to hear an uncomfortable viewpoint. "When it comes to jobs, I'd rather listen to a business wizard from 2011 than a technical wizard from 1981" is hardly conten

No. This is disingenuous. Something that consumes electricity doesn't care where the electricity comes from. Fix the power source, and you automatically fix every single consumer in existence at once.

We're talking about global warming specifically here, though. Cars and planes should be a much bigger worry than AI power usage.

Stop focusing on energy usage and start focusing on energy generation. It doesn't matter how much energy we consume if it comes from renewables.

I don't know about what Americans think, but, as a Greek, the whole "whiteness" thing is an American social construct. There aren't whites and blacks in Greece, mostly because we don't have enough black people here

I use DDG as my daily driver and quite like it. Then again, I don't really see much difference between DDG and Kagi, so I may be some sort of pleb. I will say that, sometimes, DDG gets "stuck" on certain sorts of close-phrase

Why is everything "wild" and "cooked" and "dead" these days? It seems that every title or text I see has those words. I guess it's the Claudeification of everything.
