Are EVs that widespread in the US already that you're at the stage where you need to move from incentivising EV purchases to normalising their taxation?

Wait, if I had a company, why would I want to pay my workers more so they'd buy more? That just sounds like I'm keeping my money with extra steps?

I'm with you, comments like the GP are just demands on the time of people who make things. For years, everyone here was adamant that founders made the company, even if they hired developers to write the actual code. You made a cool thi

Ahh OK, makes perfect sense, and interesting that that IR compiles to C++. Thanks for the info!

Eh, I still read all of it, but it grates that everything everywhere all the time now is written by one person.

All of them represent claims which the author believes as stated, otherwise the author wouldn't put their name on them.

Security isn't a binary "secure/insecure". You can be more or less secure than something.

I tried to use rtk once and the model got stuck just running and rerunning and rerunning in a loop, until I killed it. I have no idea what happened.

uv failed for me once, but then worked the second time. I think it has to do with uv just taking a while to install the first time. Maybe if you pre-run the installation it'll work better.

Your way is good because it answers my question first. I've been wanting to do a weird thing X and had to first spend half an hour convincing people that yes, I really do know what I'm doing, so they'd give me the one-liner a

Yeah but as far as potential goes, "AI will take your job" isn't that much worse than "you'll be working 12 hours in an Amazon warehouse with a 2 minute pee break for minimum wage". I feel like American society

That makes sense, thanks. Is this IR at a level where the optimisations can't just be added to LLVM then?

Isn't the main benefit of LLVM that you get tons of backends for free? What does having your own IR give you that's worth this tradeoff?

The author wasn't trying to render HTML. Everyone is focusing on the word "Markdown", I wish the author had just said "rich text" instead so we could actually have a fruitful conversation.
