I think both look good on you, I had a transplant because I definitely didn't look better bald.

I don't think so. I had a transplant and I'd like being told I look better bald. I can always shave my head. "You looked better with hair" when you've gone bald is the hurtful one.

I did one in Thessaloniki, Greece eight years ago. Here's a photo album of me before, during, after, and recently: https://immich.home.stavros.io/s/transplant

Let me just turn this hack into a quick Flipper Zero app that makes the speaker play "Fuck Creative" in a loop, let's see whether the vendor is bothered then.

Why does an early win matter? Isn't it random?

You can filter a few of these by asking that they include some specific word in the subject. These spammers won't, and you can just delete those.

Hey, works for me, I just got OCD from the title's usage of the word "literally".

I think it was hyperbole, and that the GP does not literally believe this was written by GPT-1, which did not produce coherent sentences.

This is great, and I love it, and I hate to be saying this, but it's not literally the size of a credit card, it's 0.2mm thicker.

Lockfiles serve multiple purposes. For example, some include hashes so you aren't served altered packages from the package registry. I agree with you otherwise, though.

One of my coworkers once told me that, unless I changed our hardware design, he'd be forced to add a buggy part to our bill of materials to handle the use case. I had to call in a BOM threat.

Who would use a coding tool that said "I've used library X out of all the alternatives, please pay the license now"?

Really? I haven't heard of that, I wonder what would have happened if we just let the models say what they want. Maybe other providers, or open models, don't do that? Do you know of any, perhaps?

My point is that we don't really know how brains work, and saying "LLMs don't have intent because flourishes hands numbers!" isn't really a convincing, coherent logical argument.

Yep, this is the right answer. Everything is max money always, and you can't have nice things any more, you can only have things that extract all the value they can out of you.

Really? Huh, I've never heard of Anthropic caching needing to be specifically enabled. I'll look into that, thank you! Sounds like the culprit.

What does it matter what the codebase is made with? If Claude is down, use Codex, or Gemini, or Deepseek. That version of the argument is just way too easy to counter.

Well, in that case, it's also very specifically about this guy's codebase, so none of us can really say anything on this.

Because you're better able to take over the codebase a local model wrote than one Claude wrote? The original question was about taking over an LLM-written codebase, it doesn't sound to me like the argument was about a codebase tha

You can use a local model, which will go down exactly as often as gcc will. We may still have hopeful notions of being able to understand the codebase, but the reality seems to be that the codebases we don't understand will be the ones

What happens when you have a codebase made with gcc for let's say 8 hours? Are you able to efficiently, smoothly and productively take over the assembly code?

It's not about humans vs LLMs. It's about where the sweet spot of LLM usage by humans is.

They just told developers to use AI as much as they can, so I'm sure there was quite a bit of frivolous usage (they had leaderboards). This isn't "how much more productivity can we get with AI", it's more "let&

Doesn't this just mean that their incentives worked too well? If I budget $1M, for the year, tell everyone to use AI as much as they can, and they spend that million in four months, so what? Next time I just tell them to spend it slo
