Wouldn't I have the same problem with passwords? I would lose my phone and be unable to two factor log in to my Gmail account or bank from someone else's device?

Yeah I was gonna add I know there are case studies where sick humans don't consciously have access to long term memories but will still respond nonverbally to people they "recognize".

It seems silly to dismiss the patient because we know when healthy they are conscious. This doesn't really analogize to LLMs.

Gemini's search harness in the Google app is (ironically) bad so it makes the model look bad. If you really want to compare apples to apples you need to test Gemini models against other models using the same third party search harness.

That might depend on whether you are translating fiction or nonfiction. Anecdotally I'd rate Gemini behind Claude and OpenAI models at fiction and I can't find any benchmarks showing Gemini is the clear winner at this task.

For me a basic test of A.I. creativity is give the A.I. chapter 1 of a novel it has not seen and ask it to write chapter 2, then compare the quality to the original author's chapter 2. The A.I. is always terrible at this in terms of ma

This is funny because the stock Market has been ahistorically high. My portfolio went up over 20 percent in the last 12 months. A major correction would be a bummer but we were never entitled to these abnormal gains in the first place.
