Jeff, I've used a recent RetroPie (v3.3 afaik) and Pi2, which is only slightly slower that Pi3. I've also attempted to overclock it - it helped a bit, but not much.

I did use RetroPie. That is true, PS3 controller is pretty easy to connect via the USB cable. I tried it to connect it wirelessly. That's where it gets tricky and unreliable.

I've attempted to do this. It's not as simple as Jeff Atwood states. For starters, there is a lot more tinkering and messing around than is indicated in the article. You want to connect an old PS3 controller that's sitting

This is actually pretty cool. It lets publishers just focus on content, while the podcast apps offer the opportunity to monetize. Kind of like YouTube. As long as the apps don't start doing stupid stuff like unskippable commercials.

Were you able to see the rings of Saturn with this telescope? How about the red spot of Jupiter? Any of its moons? And finally, do you observe these objects in a place with a lot of light pollution?

Kind of, but a bit more elegant and much more general in nature. The idea is to put this device between the electricity outlet and whatever device. I could then go to a website and toggle the electricity switch.

I seriously looked at Redis and SQL Server 2016 in-memory DB. Redis was rejected because it isn't really a database. And SQL Server because it can't scale out, only up. MemSQL was easy to install and do a quick test. Plus, you

For MemSQL folks here...implement stored procedure support please. I would love to move all legacy apps I have over to MemSQL but I can't because of this.

I am working on a greenfield project right now utilizing MemSQL and so far its pretty solid. We haven't gone to production yet, so no concrete results to report. The cool thing about it, compared to other in-memory tools, is that its

Give Visual Studio a try (particularly v2015). It's pretty good at auto-complete at the very least. And you could still file tickets from it as well.
