From what I have herd (but I was unable to find any written source at this point) the sampling only applies to the Gore-Tex Pro Shell brand. Meaning that products needs to be sent in and certified by Gore before they can be sold under that

For me it is how one person can suddenly own an entire social network and dictate the rules as he likes or dislikes. Mastodon it self is more open, the server you choose to sign up to might have content policies in place.

For all Norwegian users that want something better you there are two popular Norwegian servers @Oslo.town and @Snabelen.no.

I don’t get why this is almost a 1 GB download on my iPhone. Defiantly a no go for me as long as I am on vacation without Wi-Fi.

You could probably use a GitHub Action and check the API for author of the pull request if you want to require additional verification. If have done something similar with auto accepting docs-only pull requests in the past.

The amount of pull requests from dependency updates can become more manageable if you enable GitHub’s Auto Merge feature[1] [1] https://docs.github.com/en/github/collaborating-with-pull-re...

Just stick to stable Kubernetes API resources[1] and they are guaranteed to continue to work through all 1.x versions. [1] https://kubernetes.io/docs/concepts/overview/kubernetes-api/...

Ingress going GA refers to the Ingress API resource in the Kubernetes API becoming stable. There are no discussion (or Kubernetes Enhancement Proposals (KEPs) regarding providing a default ingress controller. There are two areas that Kubern

People with mild cases aren’t getting counted in the same way so that number is likely very incorrect. What we know is that we are very far of the death toll of seasonal flue which is estimated to be around 291,000 - 646,000 globaly.

This is ridiculous! The seasonal flu virus is likely more deadly than COVID-19 [1] maybe we should ban all assemblies permanently then. [1] https://www.cdc.gov/flu/weekly/index.htm

I agree that it is not entirely self explaining. I ended going with Diagram as Code based on the Infrastructure as Code [1] principle which is the same concept; you write code to generate your infrastructure. [1] https://en.wikip

Static types most definitely do not replace the need for tests!

My biggest grape with staticly typed languages like TypeScript is that many developers considers type safety a replacement for test - it is not. It is completely at best.

At least where I live in Norway I would argue that it is not the amount of food you eat during a meal that is a problem but everything else in between regular meals (coke, chocolate, chips etc.).

As a person working for a large software consultancy in Scandinavia I hate to see so many using type safety as an excuse for not writing tests. At least a dynamic language forces you to write tests and frankly it is often easier to write te

One of the reasons these big ones don’t use a proper changelog is because new, and deprecated, features are controlled by dynamic feature toggles as opposed to what version of the app you are running. Of course, new version adds support for
