I hope it's good. I hope they can get around the fact that Neuromancer has been so influential for so long that making it now risks having it seem like a rip-off of all the things which copied it . In any case, I'm intensely c

Might not handle exactly the difficulties you're having but you can do `from sympy.abc import *`. This will create symbols for pretty much all letters (lower and upper) as well as a bunch of greek symbols (but written out, e.g. "d

In William Gibson's The Peripheral (the book, haven't seen the show myself) there's something like a weaponized version of this: ``` “What were you in, up there? Mason says you’re training.” “Kind of like a washing machine,

Excellent work. Reminded me of the description in Neal Stephenson's REAMDE about the world generation code that forms the basis of the game: ``` And so, basically as a protest action —almost like an act of civil disobedience against

I think the hidden feature is summoning the second desktop where Nedry is taunting you. There is a fun level of detail in the keychecks command: if memory serves it shows exactly the output that's given in the book.

Seems impossible to make it meltdown and explode. Shutting off the coolant just makes it automatically SCRAM. No incoming tsunamis threaten to swamp your diesel generators, no xenon pits to slowly climb out of. Booooring. ;-)

I have a bone to pick with the use of Fn-F to go full-screen in TV.app, Quicktime etc.: it's a stupid shortcut. For years, the built-in video apps used Cmd-F...i.e. using the same modifier they continue to use for all other shortcuts

Python doesn't have a case statement but (as of 3.10) it does have match. The apparent problem with using either of those is that you'd potentially have to evaluate many, many if statements (or match clauses) in the worst case whe
