Tim Draper is, quite frankly, the Trump of Venture Capital. He's a great, nurturing guy though in terms of personality and affect.

I've been calling this for ages since I saw Elizabeth Holmes speak at the Entrepreneurial Thought Leaders seminar at Stanford 5 or 6 years ago. Huge vision, entitled dismissal of incumbents, and a story that is just a little bit too pe

I am all for research into basic income -- and in fact a big believer. However I take a HUGE issue with reading too much into the viability of the system based upon research done on small sample sizes: "Our idea is to give a basic inco

They didn't per-se leave money on the table. The 60% pop is for shares that are actively trading. The actively traded amount is much much less than the amount that was taken in by institutional investors that would agree to hold the st

The artists are a commodity until they are stars, the scarcity at the early stage is the set of people that can make the system work (promotion, marketing, producers)... thus they reap all the profits. Artists are not forced to work with ma

What you say is hardly the case. Top 8 VC firms compete with each other incredibly hard for the best deals. The top-8 as a group make up 80% of all venture capital returns so maybe that should tell you something about their decision making
