I don't have the exact grouping on hand, but I'm able to run a Ryzen 2700x (8 core) with a 2080 (Windows VM GPU) and wx4100 (manjaro host GPU) all on a GIGABYTE X470 AORUS GAMING 5. USB passthrough with an Startech USB PCI-E card

I think the use case is mainly targeted at handheld computing/gaming. It's definitely a more boutique device. My guess would be it's for the crowd looking for repair ability and control over the device.

It definitely has been a long time. From the forums you can see the updates that the creator has provided. Here is the most recent thread which details the case molds and shows a assembled unit: https://pyra-handheld.com/boa

Excited to see the final build. The author provided a list of _obscure_ handhelds that you could try and get your hands on. On that list there is the Pyra[0] which is very near completion. It has some interesting features such as a replacea

Oh I didn't mean that as a jab to the work being done. More so to start a discussion on what can be done in the home today instead of a completely proprietary router. I will be keeping my eye on this project for WWAN or site to site ap

Ah, the laptops are great as well though a bit outdated now with the core counts climbing. I do have one and it works perfectly with most linux distros. I use manjaro to be specific.

Not yet. These are just the development kits. Apparently the phone is due in Q2 2019, though I find that unlikely. I do have one of their laptops. I paid and got it a week later, so they have shipped things.

I have their latest Librem 13. I bought the base model and upgraded it with 16gb of RAM (wish I could have done 32gb), 1TB NVMe, and a 1TB SATA SSD. So far it is great. I've been using it as my daily driver for about 6 months with Manj

Ah, I took it as you still use it today. I've got a bit of interest in the handheld world, but haven't pulled the trigger on a Pyra (not a fan of pre-orders). Also, what does RMS stand for?

What PocketPC do you use? Do you just use it for Age of Empires? Have you heard of the Pyra[0]? It's nearing completion, hardware should be final at this point. Just need the software to get a good run up. [0] https://pyra-h

Ordered a base librem 13 v2 model a few months ago. Payment was processed immediately and it shipped within a week. Did some upgrades, 1TB NVMe, 2TB SSD, and 16GB of RAM. Also do not use PureOS. Very happy.

Care to share some more information about your setup? I'm a PFsense user currently and am always looking for ways to tinkering with my networks.

Does anyone have a list of the domains these guys use? I'm curious if these are in the DNSLB easy lists or the lists used by PiHole. If they aren't I'd like to add them to my blacklists on Pfblocker-NG.

Great for storing files along with notes. Saved me a couple times with re-occurring or forgettable issues. Recently with Virtual Box I needed to install the Intel USB 3.0 driver when spinning up an old WES7 VM. Had the note and the executab

It's difficult to quantify, but I'd say the only thing I notice is battery life. On the x230, before the mods I've made to modernize it a bit more, the battery life was somewhere south of 4 hours. With the Librem 13 I do get

Librem 13v3. I bought the base model then bought upgrades separate - 16GB of RAM, 1TB NVMe, and 2TB SSD. I suppose it's possible you got a lemon, but unfortunate as these things should be tested intently.

I'm curious if most of your issues were related to Pure OS. And if that's the case.. why ship with it installed? Overall I'm not a fan of these additional spins of linux. System76 does this too with PopOS. Our experiences are

What had you hung up on Qubes? I used it for some time on my librem and it worked well, but I generally needed better Windows in a VM support for work.

I'm currently running a Librem 13 as well. I came from my modded x230 (FHD display mod, coreboot, upgraded speakers). Mostly it's been a great experience. Like the author I also miss the trackpoint. Between the author and I, I thi
