I can’t put it into words well but it’s like if I discovered a vestigial limb attached to my body. I’d want to try firing it up.

The idea of gaining control of the management hardware like this is really exciting. Can anyone here comment on whether it could plausibly happen? I’m guessing it would require leaks from Intel because otherwise whoever develops the capab

I share your concerns about authoritarians using this occasion to bend things in a bad direction but are you asserting that the virus is not a real thing or that some group with authoritarian aims is behind its release? Because if the viru

Are you a giant multinational that will need to convince people to store stuff on your server in the future? If not then this doesn’t apply to you so you can happily delete everything on your server.

Isn’t it cruelty on top of cruelty to not address how unkind and unfair our society is and then attempt to block people’s only escape route? If the world isn’t going to become less cruel who are we to prevent individuals from escaping it

We are pretty sure that an impact liquified the entire surface of the Earth (creating the Moon by casting a big chunk of molten material into space). So clearly the “greatest imaginable” impact does not leave the Earth more habitable than t
