I’ve had basically the identical experience. I swear it even seems to turn off notifications to some of the more obscure channels and I have to turn them back on again. The niche stuff (Engineering, Chemistry, Modular-synth stuff, demosce

I wouldn’t put most devs in the category but the existence of “bullshit jobs” that provide little to no value isn’t controversial is it? Edit: other reply beat me to it

Thank you for laying bare the specifics of this issue. It does seem indefensible.

Oh my god I had the SFII promotional VHS tape! I’d forgotten about entirely. Thanks for the nostalgia.

I think of Reddit like New York City, it’s huge and there are many thousands of neighborhoods with plenty of heterogeneity. Almost anything you can think of can be found there if you know where to look.

I’ve been out of the PHP game for a decade or so but Windows, Apache, and PHP always worked no problem. Maybe Windows, IIS, and PHP is a more fickle stack?

Interesting idea. I wonder if instead of requiring oxygen to hand off electrons to during respiration we could substitute a simpler system by dumping the excess charge via a wire? Anyone with domain expertise care to comment on whether t

I avoid all solicitation in general. If I want something I research it and buy it. I never make a purchcase based on an incoming offer of any sort even if I want the item or service and it’s a good deal. It avoids 90% of scams before I e

I’m talking in the studio when the actual work is getting done. A soldered down ssd and ram is not a good investment for a studio musician who wants to be able to expand. Definitely for live shows fashion plays a role so you’re gonna see

Weird. What genres are your musician friends into? Must just the circles I travel with but in the parts of the techno/house/drum and bass scenes that I’m privy to in the US, UK, and Germany I see less than 5% macs probably and a

Thanks for your work on Ardour by the way. I’ve been attempting to move to a fully Linux-based solution for audio production on and off since the mid-2000s and Ardour is one of the best tools on the platform in my opinion.

Ok I don’t have a citation other than amongst the hundreds of djs and producers I’ve had contact with in the rave/club scenes over the past couple decades I’ve seen that Macs, Atari, and Amiga were dominant in the early 90s and by the

Would encourage anybody on Ubuntu to give Linux Mint a try. It’s displaced Lubuntu as my go to distribution due to it being very polished overall while still being about as lightweight and fast as Lubuntu or Xubuntu.
