What do you mean by that? Just that some/most countries have lifted most COVID restrictions? I was thinking the same as the top-level comment you responded to - before the pandemic I was already quite bad at making time for adventure,

I like the site too, and use it often. But I find that with more complex "diagrams" (my attempts at somewhat "technical drawings") it can often feel a bit clunky. Small imprecisions add up quick if you e.g. need to snap

Sure, what you said is true, but it baffles me that they would complain directly to the patient. Save the frustration for later IMO.

I think a worthy addendum to (1.) is to review the 'default' subreddits that your new account is auto-subscribed to (unsure what the current list is, but probably stuff like /r/news, /r/funny, /r/vide

As per the other reply to you, I'm pretty sure this has always been a thing. At least in the past it was a 'non-gold' restriction[1] that you could only set your account to load up to 500 comments automatically. [1] https:&#

Thanks, had not seen this. The initial tweet mentions 3.9k accounts dropped the ".eth" recently . The 'flip side' data to that would be looking at the same time scale I think - how many people added ".eth" d

I haven't actually tried it, but when I was getting into Flutter/Dart for a small Android project it seemed like (from what I saw online) it would be very simple to build a web version from the same code that generated the APK. Of

Also... where is the accompanying data indicating how many Twitter accounts (in the same period of time) added ".eth" to their usernames? This list seems so useless without that other side to compare. If only 25 accounts added &

Something I kind of depend on--which may be a crutch, I'm not entirely sure--is VS Code's "gutter indicators" feature[1] that simply indicates where code was added/edited/deleted. It helps me jump between chang

Twitter auto-pauses videos when I scroll down past them. It has a couple other UX quirks that I really dislike as well. HN probably has 0-1 devs actively working on it and is (likely still) running on two machines ("master" and &q

I'm quite a bit younger than you, and not entirely clued up on cyberpunk and related genres, but I'd think "Blade Runner" (1982) and its source novel "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?" (1968) brought many o

Good summary but I found it a bit weird how only 2 seconds were spent on the 'camera aperture' explanation - as AFAIK that's the main cause for photos of stars and lights to have 'points' - it depends on how many &#

Sure... but it seems that all the available solutions have their quirks and oddities. Some people (like yourself and the author of the top-level article) seem to think it is literally perfect, while others have issues and irritating experie

This is interesting - thanks! Two of my CS lecturers at university were involved in setting up/improving networks across Africa and they had great stories to tell about that. A LOT of stuff happens via USSD codes and SMS.

This sounds useful. You can schedule "takeouts" from takeout.google.com to run every 2 months for a year - but as far as I can tell they NEVER fire off more than the initial time. Very weird yet so very Google too.

I think this is every teacher's goal with tests where you can bring "one sheet of handwritten A4 paper" along as a cheat sheet. The smartass students who don't want to study find ways to cram an incredible amount of info

Super agree. I took calc 1 and stats 1 & 2. Much preferred the stats and it set me up for understanding all kinds of science lingo in articles and papers. I also indirectly use stats fairly often at work.

I think RT was literally shut down (with people laid off) by Russia... sooo yeah. I saw a thing about it on Reddit earlier today/yesterday (seemed to be about the Russian channel?), and this[1] seems to be about the American wing. [1]
