While true, that still doesn't justify Uber's actions. Uber doesn't give a crap about those regulations, or reforming them. In fact, they want them to stay in place so they can have an unfair advantage.

I never said they know exactly who their employer is. I said they know damn well they're not working for Microsoft.

And the employees are the ones who create the returns for the investors, no?

I don't buy that argument for a second. The employees actual work, causing the startup to be able to actually do something or sell something, is what allows the company to survive.

"A 90-day window might be better for you if you want to stick around at a company for a while" I don't know many people that go into a job not wanting to stick around for a while. But that's at the beginning of the relat

It's not really a 10 year risk, as you keep the options that have vested whether or not you're still with the company. And if the startup fails, if you haven't exercised, you shouldn't be out any money.

This is why I can't take any of the "personal responsibility" people seriously. This salesman is not taking any responsibility for their actions.

There is no way in hell they cannot know what they are doing. They know they're not from Microsoft. And given this scam has been in the news for a while now, they don't get to plead ignorance.

We need to find this place, and issue drone strikes as soon as possible. If that is the only thing that Trump does with the rest of his presidency, he will go down as a better president than Obama.

If said private company is spewing pollution into the water system, then not doing business with them doesn't change that.

I have far, far, far, far, far more avenues to influence the US government than I have to influence a large company which is acting in a harmful manner. If a company is spewing pollution into the air, my not using them isn't going to d

So how do you solve the problem of someone getting sick or injured before their HSA has enough money in it? Cause that's the big downside of an HSA.

Agreed. Unless you have significant ownership stakes in the company, killing yourself with overtime is never rewarded. It just becomes the normal, and when you finally do cut back, everyone seems disappointed.

After a while, it beats you down, and you feel so bad that you can't leave. You kinda feel you aren't deserving of working in a respectful environment. This is aside from other things like not feeling like you can get another job,

Which is absolutely wrong. They're deciding, as a contractor, to not take jobs which are not worth their time. As a contractor, they're supposed to be able to do that without punishment. If Uber is doing this, it is a punishment.
