Not necessarily. We should also be trying to make sure that it isn't used as a cheap replacement for citizen labor.

Would it be fair for the candidate to not get the highest wage possible? I don't see how this problem is any different than trying to get non-immigrant labor. Company A is offering a significantly higher salary to a citizen than Compan

I don't see how. If you absolutely need that skill, then you need it, cost of living based salary be damned.

Probably because any discussion on here about that kind of stuff turns toxic pretty quickly.

You're making the assumption that they are more qualified.

You've just shown your bias by assuming the less represented candidates are less qualified.

Why do you make these assumptions that they're well paid? And aren't VCs well compensated as well? In many cases taking the bulk of reward despite not doing any of the work?

No, the entitled perspective here is that simply having money entitles you to the bulk of reward, and that a group of people who will not have negative consequences for a company going under is taking more risk than people who would be losi

I don't buy that. Given that the VCs are not investing their own money, they have huge portfolios with many investments, and I'm investing something I can never get back: My time and energy, I'd say they're taking nowher

Really? Give me one example where it doesn't fuck over the employees? And don't say "they get to keep their jobs", cause if that's all that's needed for benefit, we might as well devalue the options to 1 cent,

No, it's not a non-issue. And once again, if the behavior that would normally be contained within the subreddit leaks out into other subreddits, what happens then? Cause your advice of "don't go there" fails.

I'm sorry, but I cannot agree with your point. A professional programmer should not value things being easy to use? What kind of fake machismo bullshit is that? I should want to take the hard way every time I do something?

That whole "don't go to that section if you don't like it" works just fine if those things stay in their section. The problem is that they weren't staying in their section. Fat People Hate was known for going into o

Diluting shares should be straight out illegal. There is no reason for it other than fucking over employees. You know, the people who have actually worked to make the company a success.

So if you're not going to do it for the payout, which was the main reason to do it, then why do it? Why put yourself through the crap and the unpaid overtime and the stress and the subpar pay for the chance to make someone else rich?

Isn't the new MBP one of the best selling laptops of recent? And I'm honestly not seeing anything in the little blurb of an article that states concretely that this is happening in significant numbers.

There already are plenty of good platforms available. That's not the problem. The problem is that Ticketmaster/Live Nation have exclusivity with most artists and venues already.
