Yes, I think you're right. Having all of them doesn't feel redundant when we're talking about a whole family and the cost isn't that high.

By optional I meant that you can use the service with or without paying. (Example: donating to Patreon or subbing on Twitch is optional; paying for Netflix isn't optional since you have to pay in order to watch anything on Netflix). Ob

I think it makes more sense to pick the language first and then find an IDE for it that you like instead of the other way around.

Is there a good argument against Clojure in this case? My impression is that it's a good lisp and you can get actual work done in it which is an advantage over some of the other options.

Advent of Code 2020 is happening right now - https://adventofcode.com/ . I really recommend it if you want to get exposure to different problems in a more fun and relaxed environment with a good community around it.

Can I suggest the exact opposite? The best solutions are likely to come exactly from technology because technology solutions are systematic. The impact of government policy and individual action just doesn't scale in the same way. Aski

You can go even deeper with this idea. How much of your time coding is actually coding? Surely, you're not typing all the time. If you take 10 minutes to think over a concept and explore some options before writing a block of code, how

The analogy doesn't scale because additional years of fast-food work don't add anything to your prospects. On the other hand, additional years of software development add a lot to your employability so the value of getting your fi

I don't see a problem with machine learning as a term. Especially since it incorporates more than regression methods - it's useful to have a general term without having to specify the type of algorithm each time.
