For an individual, who mostly cares about focus time to complete their tasks, remote works great. I’m conflicted because I love remote for focus time but my job demands convening large groups and getting consensus and decisions, and that is

I agree ^ however I would say the very early days of fb that was basically a chronological update of friends statuses is all I ever wanted, and I can’t see many problems with them operating that. The issue of course is they couldn’t make hu

My experience was as a direct report to someone like this, they were very toxic.. regularly demeaning their team. They siloed us so it would have been very difficult/impossible for other departments to understand given their influence

Yes I’m sure plenty here have - what’s the question you have? My advice is if they’re sufficiently senior and influential, and nothing is being done about their behaviour it’s a toxic workplace - you should leave the company.

Isn’t the magic just that humans sometimes believe what is said rather than what is done? You need to watch what people do, and whether they actually do what they say.

It’s a good time for legal technology that’s for sure - the industry is so far behind others in adopting new tech (very risk averse). We should see a lot of these new tools become mainstream in a lot of firms shortly which should improve pr

Yeah this behaviour is a miserable insult to end users. Is a good example of how they’re the product not the customer. The only reason to force you to the app is to gather extra data for surveillance advertising.
