Agreed, there was only a narrow period a long time ago where Quora was usable and useful. It's been a domain I've skipped visiting in search results for maybe 10 years now.

True. I'd still argue it's not realistic to use arbitrary code though, as most control problems need linear or at least invertible control laws, and the analysis techniques that provide you with control solutions usually assume so

It's cheating because real world PID controllers only apply linear feedback, i.e. feedback expressed by a linear function. Ifs/elses etc. are not linear.

When I went down the rabbit hole of looking into pet trackers, the fact an iPhone needs to be nearby for AirTags to work is a problem to me, as well as the need for a SIM card in the tracker itself. I was thinking it could be nice to use a

Tbh for me the monitor behaviour in KDE is great until it isn't. It works fine on my hardware at home but not on my Dell laptop and docking station at work. But I can live (and have lived) with it given the rest of KDE is as you say aw
