I built a documentation platform [1] for work since I didn't want to worry about licensing costs (With something like Confluence) being a factor, limiting potential access, when it comes to documenting and sharing knowledge. I also wro

I've been working on BookStack since 2015, as my first proper open source project, after not being able to find an existing open source, well-designed, ready-to-use (Without extensions customization) offering that would be easy to use

I also love draw.io (now diagrams.net). Additionally it can be self-hosted if needed and it has a well built API for integration with other systems. Login is not required by the way, You can choose "Device" or "Decide Later&q

I've been using plausible ( https://plausible.io/ ) recently and I've been really happy with it. I've written about the move from GA to plausible, for my use-case, here: https://www.bookstackapp.com&

Building a documentation platform (Think Confluence alternative). Thought it'd just be a case of hooking up a WYSIWYG editor and a database, and yet there's still plenty to do 5+ years later: https://www.bookstackapp.co

I have not recently used confluence myself, but having created an open source project in the same space I have seen a few users migrate from confluence quoting speed as their main frustration & reason for migrating away. Has been the ca

I created and maintain BookStack which is often used for many similar use-cases as confluence: https://www.bookstackapp.com/ Rather opinionated in design and structure though.

Thanks for sharing on HN! I'm always tempted to share the releases or posts here but I always back out as I never feel the project is refined enough.
