Yeah, there have been many many iterations of these apps, by different developers. SizeUp + Cinch, Divvy, Spectacles. While I think that Apple should have just copied Microsoft's approach (i.e. what Cinch does) the wealth of options fo

My girlfriend has a minimum wage job in retail. She doesn't particularly enjoy it. But I guess she can take comfort in the knowledge that she is participating in a "gender revolution". Not like those traitorous stay-at-home w

Even if large deposits of a rare mineral were discovered on Mars, surely a business would send robots to retrieve it -- not humans.

Not much, because SpaceX is currently the cheapest launch provider in its category (except perhaps the Russians). And their capacity is maxed out. If anything they should put the price up .

That's because it cheats! Arabic script has three layers: 1. The base forms (rasm) denote groups of consonants. 2. Then dots distinguish individual consonants (e.g. B, T, TH, Y and N have the same basic form but have different arrangem

Affirmative action will prefer a middle-income black person to a low-income white person. It 'evens the score' for some poor people, but not for others.

It's absolutely fine to give extra advantages to people with low incomes. That's economic progressivism. It's wrong to give extra advantages based on genetics, essentially saying that some people "genetically poor"

Sure. How about LNG (liquid methane)? We have enough natural gas to last quite a while. In the far future, hopefully we will have mastered producing kerosene using algae.

A better idea would be to dig oil out of the ground, process it into kerosene, and use that to power jet turbines on the aircraft.

London is special because there are a lot of Apple stores here (I count 7). That's more than many European countries have. The calculus of owning a Mac changes drastically if you live near an Apple store. If my Mac has a problem, I can

iMessage makes it impractical to have a conversation with anybody on prepaid Android. Sure you can send MMSs and SMSs to them, but are they going to send more than a couple back? Nope.

The immigration status of EU citizens resident in the UK is one of the only strong cards the UK has in the Brexit negotiations. The UK may well threaten the EU with mass deportations, especially since the Brexiters running the UK don't

In 2014, 55% of Scots voted to stay. If we are to learn the lessons of the Brexit referendum, you need consensus to enact any major change to people's citizenship rights. Consensus there is not.
