I don't think that this is entirely fair. http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2013/10/01/dining/nacho-g... You could probably argue convincingly that sugar and doritos are actually more compelli

It's kind of absurd. I'm working with Restore the Fourth, who, to my knowledge, is one of the only groups who is keeping on the surveillance message. It's frustrating. I don't believe the US should spy on foreign citizen

Hyperboria is a technology that is in it's infancy, and is currently woefully underdeveloped. If you don't like contributing to the development of the Internet, maybe you could contribute instead to another network that runs a lit

Yeah, soundcloud is OK. Unfortunately, their file limits are frustrating and I'd just as soon launch without their social features. It's a lot more like flickr than it is imgur.

I thought that there was no way to track how many people buy bitcoins. Would this exclusively be through a public market, then, or is bitcoin less anonymous than I thought?

This is a very interesting potential experiment, and I would love to see this. Is there any way to track adoption of Bitcoin? I would wager that it's more popular inside a financial crisis (like gold hoarding). Does the anonymous nature of

I'm using bluehost, if that helps. My random clicks indicate that they support Ruby, PHP, and Perl, as well as apache, which I think? means I can install whatever I want? I tried following an apache guide once but was in pretty deep over my

Hah, this was my impression of PHP. I am fine with static HTML design, I get CSS, tables, and I've set up a bootstrap site or two. I don't know anything about interacting with a database, which (I think) is where I need to go next.

oh, yes, I didn't even think about this. I've wanted to learn vi for a while now, too! Thanks! So, my plan is to try and weild PHP, mySQL, CSS, HTML and, (ugh) some Javascript. Does this seem like a good goal to shoot for?

It's a romance story where everyone dies at the end. What's the target demographic? Guys? No, too much romance. Girls? No, too SFX heavy and everyone dies. Don't say James Cameron can't play to a crowd.
