Oh so since we’ve screwed natives before, it’s fine to do it again to islanders? We shouldn’t ask these questions because we’ve done worse anyway?

What about those islanders though? "Power projection" is important. But it's sad that its at the expense of human beings who live and work there.

Who here uses Haiku OS? I'm genuinely curious. In today's age where everything is web-based, I don't see how OSs are relevant anymore.

Don't want to rain on your parade but this is in no way a scientific A/B test. If I understand this correctly, Birdy periodically switches profile information b/n A and B. * How do you make sure the same user who was on A var

I've been noticing how much I'm "self-censoring" nowadays. The whole "free world" concept is a lie. Even the "guardians of freedom" USA wants you to disclose all social media handles if I apply for a

As oil, gold and other commodities start being available with Crypto, the USD will fade to insignificance. How is the USD responsible in any way for bitcoin being successful?

Countries who can't agree with the US will move into currency-swaps and barters. I don't see them going for Crypto since that's even more scary for central banks than the US dollar.

Wouldn't shutting down western tech companies in Russia lead to Russians being limited to just state propaganda?

Why exactly should GoFundMe refund the money? How is this different from other fundraisers? I believe in vaccines but I don't understand why GoFundMe can't accept trucker donations.

I have a crippling fear of specializing in a field. I fear that I'm "settling" for something and might miss out on something better. But as a nihilist, nothing is anymore better or meaningful than what I do. Hence I keep tryi

I would never "pay" for Google products. I'm 101% sure they would still harvest my data for their advertising business even if I pay them. Then why should I pay for giving off my data? At least I should get free shit.

I miss the wacky elements of yesteryear retro websites. Custom mouse pointers, tiled backgrounds etc. Nowadays its mostly white webpages with similar looking buttons and elements. I guess uniformity makes it easy for users to use web-apps.
