The differences are indeed fascinating. The first vehicle you listed would never be owned by a private individual unless they used it for a business. It seems like the inverse is true with non-commercial pickup trucks in Europe

That seems like a reasonable alternative, but I like to also do maintenance on my own vehicle and have been working on combustion engines my whole life. I supposed it is as unnecessary as anything in life, no more or less so than a Tesla, C
