So what? I shouldn't eat anything? I mean yeah, I could try that. But what is your point, that nothing should be done because it's useless to do anything?

First of all, why does it need to? It's so tiring when a solution is thrown out just because it doesn't solve everything. A very common argument against vegans is "well, animals (like rats, mice) are still (accidentally) kill

Yeah, but that's not the point.

My personal solution has been to give up all animal products.

By completely vegetarian do you mean vegan? Because if you've come this far but still consume dairy or eggs, you might consider how the milked cow or egg laying chicken still lives a horrible life and eventually is slaughtered, too. Ed

Simplest (not easiest) personal solution is to not eat meat (or any animal products)

Observing these services connect in my own life has been interesting. The peak moment where I really started to think about it was when I took an Uber to pick up my Turo car then drove my Airbnb where I waited for my Instacart order to arri

Why was "Expanding its Kubernetes and Containers Leadership" removed from the title here when it is part of the original article title?

If anyone is still reading this, I'm very curious why this would be downvoted.

I don't understand this bit: > "These ships were the 18-wheelers of their day. They were designed to haul a huge amount of cargo in relatively shallow water," Yet this ship supposedly came from Africa. It's not shallo

Very sad to remove the uterus, it's the center of the universe in its way. Life comes forth from there, having originated from spiritual realm.

No, because even 40 is nearing too much for me. I'm happy and productive with my 4 to 6 hour days of development.

Just the other day I was using the Tesloop [1] service from near LAX and the driver was praising the autopilot feature. I thought it was really neat at the time, but I would be much more hesitant about it now :/ [1] https://

You really think that the productivity of today's programmers is less? What evidence and data do you have for that?

Whether it's relevant or not wasn't my concern, as I wasn't even trying to propose that any cryptocurrency replace fiat. I was simply curious.

Sincere question: what's the energy usage for e.g. USD or EUR?

by spraak 9y ago
I think it takes practice for sure, but in terms of necessary equipment and ingredients, it's the simplest. Any sugary water (fruit juice) is enough. And can be done in very small spaces, like in prison like I'd mentioned

I'm not sure what would be more fitting, but "democratic" seems like thewrong word here. I understand what you mean, though. The easiest drug to make yourself is probably alcohol e.g. people making their own in prison.

You could say the same about most symbols in words that are used in English but that are not from English. Your point doesn't stand. Edit: I.e. it doesn't make it a reason not to use it. Even in English there are many sounds that

Both the symbol/mark and the sound exist natively in English text and speech, so it bothers me in the same way someone might be bothered by mixing up their/they're or your/you're.
