Can someone explain how this works? When the window slides, how can you remove the old byte by simply left shifting the hash? Wouldn't you need to subtract the gear table entry for that byte?

Not what I could call 'open source'. Basic features (e.g. 'XML and JSON export') require a subscription to the 'premium' or 'enterprise' plans, even when self-hosting.

If we were taking leap seconds into account, we should end up with a date/time that is not midnight. Because it does always remain midnight, it shows we are all ignoring leap seconds.
