That’s great in this one case but it doesn’t solve the open source compensation problem. We need a new set of licenses that allow the general freedoms of free software but also force people making large sums of money with free software to s

Clubhouse’s free fall has nothing to do with open source alternatives. Social apps are powered by the user base, not the technology.

Buying a company is often a very efficient way of getting something built. The price may be lower than you think and they get a team that's already worked together and isn't bogged down by internal Twitter politics. If the executi

Twitter doesn't really understand what made it so successful. What did it start as but a blogging service limited to 140 characters? That's why they are so resistant to change. So they're looking for a company that has a user

The only way any of this is ever meaningful is if it interacts with the non-Web3 world in a defined or enforced way. If there is an NFT that the US Copyright Office can enforce as being tied to the copyright of The Hunger Games, then that i

My solution: All rental contracts are illegal unless they include a 1% ownership transfer per year. That way if you rent for 25 years you own 25% of the property.

I honestly wonder if a CEO who grew up outside the US is going to be a good steward of the uniquely American attitude towards free speech. Honestly, I don’t have a lot of hope for it.

At the very highest level, the draw percentage is much higher. In the last World Chess Championship in 2018, all twelve classical games went to draws! It's complete garbage from a spectator point of view.
