Oh yeah, for sure. I've developed some VR demos in Godot and it seemed quite capable. But, I was never calling this many raycasts from the CPU side of things. Never had an excuse to do so. I'm just saying this because I really thi

I'm also concerned with the approach the dev is taking on their game. That's a lot of raycasts.

Those packages are separate because the system is modular. I assure you, it's more difficult for the team to do it like this, and in many ways it's a welcome feature. The package number might seem insane, but compare the aggregate

The metric system came about around the same time as the U.S. Either way, that intuitive understanding of the imperial system may just come about due to one's growing up with it. I have the same (I assume), innate understanding of the

The language also took me by surprise. Not a fan. Really, if you want to connect with people on this topic just mention "abortions", and "data sold".

It's plausible, of course. But, even then, there must have been people that found them as horrifying displays of power. It certainly has entered the minds of some, given how their popularity has decreased in some parts of the world.

Your last point is understandable to a degree. That is, it really depends on the nature of your "crime". I wouldn't consider stating your opinion 30 years solitary worthy. But I do agree that such a system may be less humane

Are they interfering with the country in this case, or are they pointing out that a U.S. based company should be more concerned about their investments or financial interests? Really, is this piece "interfering" abroad?

OP says that "combating" while living abroad is useless, it's arguing in favour of something else. It also points out how hypocritical it is to trade with those who don't uphold democratic values. If you want to be behea

That's... I don't have words. It's saddening. I really don't understand why one would go see such a thing, it's clearly meant to input fear on the people.

Thank you, it basically boils down to this. I'm baffled at how someone in their right mind still argues as if using any other tool is free of copyright infringement of some kind. It also boggles my mind how, in our line of work (which

You can think of a video as a set of images taken from the same camera from different perspectives. So, you can assume as if they're different cameras (with the added bonus that the camera intrisincs remain the same), and apply "m

I'm not sure what the advantages of this would be for something like a renderer for instance. Would synchronization be easier this way? I'm sorry for the disclaimer, but I must admit I really don't know and if someone answers

I would wager Fortran is more reliant on a set of users who aren't as familiar with programming as C/Cpp people are. I assume it's easier to sell a language like Python to mathematicians, than it is for people in Computer Sci

Same. I tried some, and even in games they didn't provide much of an improvement. Sometimes performing worse, even. I just put some niceties like irqbalance and add a few lines to sysctl.conf for better latency at a cost of throughput
