What is the effect on the nu nuclear fuel and in the maintenance windows? I don’t know enough about nuclear power plants. But it seems to me they degrade faster under full load. Or is this not the case?

I read elsewhere on hacker news that the us military runs through 20 million barrels of fuel per day . I can imagine there is a great desire to be less dependent on suppliers both in terms of quantity and logistics. Imagine a nuclear po

I agree and would love to have everything usb-c. But I’m skeptical that will happen, for one practical thing. Apparently not every usb-c cable is created equal and not every usb-c port is created equal either. (Remember that Nintendo device

Or read a book. Watch a movie. Write a book. There are many things to do. Also on the mandated Sunday stop I see many drivers maintain their trucks and cabs. Life doesn’t have to be boring.

Wouldn’t a better metric be: value delivered/interaction? So setting up some service one which keeps delivering value seems to more valuable than something which constantly requires interaction.

Yes that would be a good idea. However, they could already have a generic collection lib in the same place (branch/repo) where the generics feature is created.

But getting in, getting rid of the mines, and getting the fuel out might just take a tad bit longer than the other party needs to blow the tanker.

I read it like GP lost faith because the settings were turned on so frequently. Not because the tools don’t work.

In both cases you would have been helped by proper error reporting and by tracing. (See OpenTelemetry) For the first the remote server could say there is no Authorization header where tracing confirms it was there when sent by the client bu

That is actually quite nifty. That way you can carry debug logs and only materialise/send them in case of errors when you are likely interested in it without having to put those logs at error and see them all the time etc. Does anyone

I’m by no means an expert in US political history but all books and papers I’ve read indicate that this polarisation between the parties did not always exist. Members were allowed to vote according to their own principals instead of just th

Even though we never went with glass bottles we do like the feel and durability of wooden toys a lot. They seem to be longer lasting, both physically and entertainment wise. Aside from Duplo and Lego.

Does socialism preclude having democratic elections? I thought socialism was at its core more about how to shape policies than the method of statecraft.

In high school we did a two week tour of Italy. I can really recommend it to everyone. My uncle has taken my nieces for holidays all over Italy for 16 years to show all the nice places and art.

My largest gripe with Transport Fever is there is no way to dedicate roads to public transport only. At some point the whole world just bogs down because everyone rides a car from one weird city to the completely other side of the map. No m
