What point did you think GP was trying to make? I'm confused by your comment

Incentivising people to drink to the point of hangover (ie overconsumption)

I'm watching it now, it's quite entertaining. But there are quite a few comments on YouTube suggesting it's a hoax?

This is very valuable, anonymous venting can bring out topics that many people wouldn’t otherwise discuss (for better or worse.) Is there a way to reply to threads? Without replies I think you’ll see much less traction.

Smart! I especially like how the styling is customisable. It would be nice to also include timestamps which act as permalinks to each comment, and also the usernames could link to their HN profiles?

Some detailed (or even interactive) examples would be great, otherwise I won't be interested enough to dig in further or schedule a demo :)

I think what GP was suggesting was that this person might have a chance to redeem themselves if they were surrounded by, and came to respect, people like you're describing. Do you think that's ever possible?

Dario’s descriptions of the working conditions are pretty brutal in this series. Relentless 12-16 hour days, arguments in emails, demotivating management. I grew up with a fairytale idea of what working at Valve must have been like - a bril

The brand/copyright info page would suggest otherwise[0]. But it seems like harmless fun to me -- "Ryanair ROBLOX is a non-profit group which intends no infringement to the trademarks of Ryanair. We do not accept real cash and ex

What a phenomenal amount of work. My favourite bit is the annual reports for investors, complete with accounts and a statement from the CEO! https://www.robloxryanair.com/_files/ugd/d969ac_0df5a87d394b...

As of writing - 4 posts seeking freelancers, 87 seeking work. Is it just me or is this ratio much more skewed towards supply vs demand than in the past?

Run the code it writes, if it gives an error, paste it into the chat and 90% of the time the LLM can fix the issue. People are missing the point here - it's not about writing code in one-shot. An LLM-enabled loop can generate the code

If AI can replace abundant jobs in customer service, this will mean that the entry level becomes harder and harder for people to access. Because the work that's left for humans will become more skilled and complex - the stuff the machi

No, but it could defer to a human if it’s unable to assist. If a chatbot can cover 80% of common support tasks, that vastly reduces the number of support staff but those who remain will be necessarily more skilled and have more authority

I think it's partly the shared event and ritual. You're taking part in something with hundreds of other people, and a lot of effort goes in to making it just right (with a good projectionist and a cinema that gives a shit)

Nice! I remember using a tool called Appcelerator Titanium about 15 years ago. It was like a precursor to Electron, and you could use various languages to build desktop and mobile apps - including PHP. It blew my mind at the time that this
