You're describing the "R" in CRUD, my friend: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Create,_read,_update_and_delet... In the example above, the select statements were inside stored procedures, and applications w

Both decent approaches and we reduced a lot of friction by using code generation. Unfortunately, modern development favors having all logic on the application side. There are a lot of benefits that brings including better testing (stored pr

I don't think that's what's meant by #2... About 12 years ago I worked at a place where all the crud operations were stored procs (calling tables/views/functions as needed). The application was only granted execute

...And the new Sesame Street isn't the same. Older Sesame Street isn't available in the same episode format in high quality. The DVDs containing older Sesame Street have various clips.

It was far more intuitive and the vector drawings copied over flawlessly to Flash. Illustrator drawings copy/pasted always had issues.

Have you looked into isometric weight training? Heavier weight, lower reps, static holds for longer duration. Typically used in physio for rehabilitation but can also work as exercises on their own, especially when you get older and have jo

Genuine question that I haven't been able to find a clear answer for: are heat pumps now different from air conditioners two to three decades ago? (other than the fact that they heat and cool) Memory is fuzzy but I remember when I was

The problem is that people aren't doing what you're doing, and ARE just copy/pasting whatever gets spit out. Using it to enhance your wording + thoughts is absolutely the way to make use of these tools.

If you ever feel the need again, vs a look through pcpartpicker. They'll warn if parts are incompatible and you can also look at other's successful builds to get ideas. The computer shop near me will price match parts and for $25

We did the same but the idea was to do it in different paradigms: iterative, OO, functional, etc. And the code was very different

That's only half the story. Bigger hurdles are the framework fatigue and the constant of having to keep things up to date even after you've got a "complete" product. This is why you see shadow IT in the form of MS Access

Heck I still say that about Windows 2000. Clean, minimal interface, with all the power options easily available.

Well that and Windows. Not starting any OS debates, but would an M1 achieve the same performance and battery life if constantly running Windows in Parallels? If so, then that would put it ahead of the X1.
