I've seen the results of this first-hand when a big rig about 10 car lengths ahead of me on I-5 abruptly began moving from the right lane through the center median and into the lanes of oncoming traffic. He slammed into a pickup truck

I think this discussion is becoming rather pointless for the overall discourse about this singular topic, so I'll just leave with this. >Having climbed from societal rock-bottom to a decent position in the tech industry, my mind is

That's quite a reach and a bad take. I've only been in the full-time tech industry for about 3.5 years. Before then I was working hourly jobs to make ends meet, including working half time or more while studying full-time in colle

I would argue that a car is totally a privilege that is above that of finding other means of transportation. I couldn't even afford one until I graduated college and was working full-time. Before then I walked if I had to, sometimes ov

The fact that this comment is a plethora of words trying to win an argument how falling asleep at the wheel shouldn't be considered unsafe is incredible.

Similarly, I've been on two long trips to Japan recently and had no issues either. Though I suspect that there's less of an issue when the conbini you're in has a change machine at the teller. So they just put the bank note i

I have an older Vizio from ~3 years ago. 1080, 43" (IIRC), and absolutely no "smart" features other than HDMI-CEC (I forget if that's the right term). Works super well. PS4 games look fine on it. Video from my Apple TV l

I've had an Apple TV for about 2 years. Last year I bought a Chromecast (against my better judgement) for my parents because their "smart" TV apps are awful. I would've bought them an Apple TV but they didn't want m

Not Stadia, but I've tried PS Now on Playstation 4. At least for the older-gen games it worked fairly well, but occasionally it'd get choppy. I'm not sure if that was a transient network blip on my end or somewhere between my

Many of the fancy simulator setups cost upwards of $50k USD. When I visited Japan earlier this year I visited a performance shop run by Max Orido (famous Japanese driver) and at his shop he has two race sims for training new racers. Both of
