I'm on an ANA flight where they do this. At boarding time they let people go with their parties. Still felt more efficient than usual.

ANA does this (source: on an ANA flight right now). Thought that was a very smart idea. And then I realized I no longer being on the window for long haul flights.

As mentioned elsewhere in the thread, if mlb tv could release a subscription without blackouts I would no longer need YouTube tv. Same kind of problem.

As soon as they do I'm dropping YTTV. Fortunately I pay 1/3 the YTTV cost by sharing with a friend so the cost isn't too bad. But it's too much content for my needs, and I don't prefer sharing access.

I have the same issue. But another somewhat related issue: apps that are allowed to ignore your audio settings. I have my sound muted pretty much all the time and inevitably apps I use that have ads auto play them usually with sound on at a

I'll probably show my age, but around 15 years ago I was in high school and they blocked most websites as well. This "hack" using Google Translate was how some of us got around the blocklist for many things. It was nice becau

I've been really surprised lately how often I go to a product page, see "Prime 2-day shipping, fulfilled by Amazon" and when I order it often takes ~5 days to get my order. Definitely picking the shipped/sold by Amazon l

Heh there's also a crepe stand in Harajuku called Santa Monica Crepes, if I'm remembering correctly. I think I've had that Emerald Mountain one too.

Boss Coffee, Rainbow Mountain blend is my favorite. Really hits the spot. I live in the Bay Area as well and I've found that both Mitsuwa and Nijiya markets haven't had them in stock nearly as much as pre-COVID; guessing some logi

Went to Mt. Moiwa in Sapporo back in Feb 2019, at night. It was super cold (to me as a Californian). Maybe 20's or 30-ish F. Nothing like going inside the observatory at the top and grabbing a piping hot bottle of Royal Milk Tea from a

Most of the current lids on fast food togo cups these days don't work with my lip shape. It sounds funny but drinking from them especially while driving does not work, the drink just leaks out the corners of my mouth.

I have friends who live in Cupertino, and when an ISP like Comcast goes down in one or two neighborhoods for maintenance, the cell network (not even Comcast but like AT&T and such) also effectively goes down because everybody and their

There's a small coastal town near San Francisco where a bunch of the farmers/ranchers/other locals imported a fleet of Suzuki Carry's, IIRC. I was chatting with one owner and they told me most haven't bothered regis

I'd imagine it depends on street rules. Here in California I used to work for San Jose State University when I was attending. I worked an oncampus job where I was expected to drive a golf cart to and from campus (the job office itself

I'm not sure if this is Musk-related, but Twitter has definitely changed. * More ads, not as easy to hide them with traditional blocker * More bots - I'm a baseball fan and follow a lot of baseball people, and players in particula
