Isn't that a problem with your code review process? Why is that person's code making it to production? So again, maybe they're a bad employee but it seems like nothing's done to even try and minimize the risks they prese

That's an excellent option. I think it'd be remiss not to mention local libraries. Of course, your mileage may vary, but the ones I've gone to do seem to have adequate selections. I just don't often make time to go there

In my experience even YouTubeTV has problems sometimes. I'll have the 1080p (and enhanced mode also I think) quality set and still deal with a lot of compression artifacts.

Amazon Prime isn't so great. Lots of for rent/purchase content or content with ads these days. And they end up repeating slots of content in all the rows in their UI, so I end up seeing the same suggestions everywhere rather than

Hmm. Engineering managers should be setting the team culture and determining best criteria for extending an offer to a candidate. If theres a problem with the hiring process I'd look for the closest source that could or should be fixin

As with a lot of things these days, the places you congregate are what you make of it. Putting aside the issues with who owns twitter and some of their recent policy shifts about content, I still have relatively sanitized feeds where I most

I think a good comparison would be something like Khan Academy (in its first five or so years or during the 2010's decade). Khan Academy is clearly geared at supplemental or even primary learning in some cases. And of course now even m

My iPhone 16 on iOS 18 has been randomly respringing (as far as I can tell). Not fully rebooting but basically the UI crashes and it kicks me out to the lock screen. I wonder if that's all this is. Probably a memory leak somewhere or s

I think the interesting side to that perspective is if the mud could be used elsewhere. Sure it's only used in baseball now and that's an extremely small market (relatively speaking), but if other uses could be found for the mud,

Shazam's auto-added music to Apple Music for ages. Maybe Spotify too but it's been years since I used that.

Would be cool to see this slotted in as a more advanced photo editing product akin to Aperture back in the day. Apple still makes iMovie separately from Final Cut for video, so there's definitely a path there I think to doing something

One of the ways to load balance the visual information is to scan around the car and briefly look at other things. Checking mirrors often, looking outside your side window, etc. Whenever I do those things it helps refresh me quite a bit.

Years ago now iTunes didn't have any feature to use notifications to display the currently playing song. So I wrote a simple AppleScript to use what was already available and do it. Not a big deal but shared with a couple friends and c

Sounds like how photo sharing permissions have worked since... iOS 16 or 17? You can choose as small a subset of photos for an app to have access to as you want, and then just add as you like, rather than sharing your entire photo library.

Fully agreed with all this. Also, if there's a bottleneck where an oncall needs to rely on a teammate with more experience with the subject matter, then make sure that's noted down in a retro. Hopefully an action item can be made

This was the case for me with Flappy Bird and also that old Temple Run game circa 2011-ish. It's almost more of a game of focus or how much you will _think_, because once you're distracted a bit and forget those physics or timing
